Calvin Chapman has been sharing Jesus for 35 years. He grew up on a ranch in western South Dakota, USA, and graduated from South Dakota State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science and Range Science. Currently, Calvin and his wife of 33 years, Darla (Drum), reside in Faith, SD, where he has served for the last 12 years with the Faith Church of Christ.
Calvin became a New Testament Christian while at college and became very involved in Campus Ministry. After working as an adult educator in agriculture, Calvin and Darla deepened their relationship with God by sharing in a yearlong Spiritual Internship with a group of disciples. This also prepared them as a church planting team that later moved to Belle Fourche, SD, to begin a new church family. Calvin served as the evangelist there for 14 years. His involvement in college ministry continues as board president for the Christian Student Center that ministers to college students in Spearfish, SD. He also currently serves as a session director and board member of Dakota Christian Camp in North Dakota and as a teacher and board member of Black Hills Bible Camp. He has also taught team building and conflict resolution seminars for private and government organizations.
Calvin has spent much of his study time focused on God as the Person revealed through His Son, Jesus. This helps us to understand the relationship that humans are designed to have with their Creator, which was also revealed through the relationship the Son had with the Divine Father. Calvin hopes to be able to share some wonderful truths about the incredible dream God had when He made you and the hope He holds to spend eternity in a relationship with you.
